These 5 food tips and kitchen tricks have reduced time and clean up in my kitchen. As a mother of two crazy boys and a LAZY cook, I cling to any information that will make my life in the kitchen a little bit easier!

I used to use a knife to separate garlic cloves before I learned this tip! I took a cooking class and picked up this quick and easy cooking trick and I haven’t picked up a knife to cut up garlic since. This is the PERFECT job for your little ones that are always anxious to help out in the kitchen!

Believe it or not, there was a point in my life that I actually refused to buy watermelon. Not because I didn’t love it, because boy oh boy do I love watermelon, but because I didn’t know how to cut it up without either creating a kitchen clean-up disaster or slicing off a finger. Once a good friend of mine taught me this trick, I starting buying watermelon just about every grocery trip during the season.
